Alcoholwatch is a recent initiative for Safe Newcastle. It sees Newcastle City Council and Northumbria Police working together in partnership to tackle alcohol-related disorder. It works by focusing on the suppliers of alcohol, off licenses and intends to address the problems of alcohol related disorder in particular areas.
Anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related disorder is one of the key concerns of people living in the community. Safe Newcastle listened to feedback from residents and responded to these concerns to launch the innovative Alcoholwatch scheme.
