Sex Work and Sexual Exploitation (SWSE)

Aim:

To increase your awareness and understanding of the issues affecting women involved in prostitution and / or subject to sexual exploitation

Content:

• Current debates regarding SWSE
• The nature of prostitution in Newcastle
• Common stereotypes about women involved in prostitution
• Good practice guidelines
• Potential for violence against prostitutes and local and national schemes to reduce risk

Time:

This is a two day course, both days are 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

15th and 16th April 2010
17th and 18th June 2010
9th and 10th Sept 2010

All courses will take place at Elliott House, Bentink Terrace, Elswick
