Our work is led by the Safe Newcastle Board and the Responsible Authorities.

The Safe Newcastle Board

Our Board is made up of members from different organisations, including the police, the council, the fire service, local businesses, community and voluntary groups and local residents. The Board are responsible for the Safe Newcastle strategy and how the partnership works together. The Board meet a least four times a year.

The Responsible Authorities

The Responsible Authorities oversee the work of the partnership. They meet monthly to check the progress of the partnership. The Responsible Authorities are:

• Newcastle City Council
• Northumbria Police
• Northumbria Probation Trust
• Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service
• Newcastle Primary Care Trust
