Homeless Charities for Newcastle

Page content

Thank you for visiting this webpage. Killing with Kindness Poster

If you give money to the people begging in Newcastle, it is likely that it will be spent on drink or drugs. In some cases, you’ll be helping to buy the alcohol or drugs that could kill them. Most people who beg need help with a drug or alcohol addiction and some need help with housing.  The Cyrenians can put them in touch with the right support.

If you know someone who is begging or homeless please call the Cyrenians outreach team on 0800 0 461 445 so they can offer them the support they might need.

Alterrnatively you can report the incident to Northumbria Police:

Telephone Number: 03456 043 043
Minicom: 01661 820 915

Remember, if there any danger or risk to life, if a crime is in progress or the attendance of the police is urgent, dial 999.

If you want to help the homeless, support a local charity instead.
