Best Bar None is a scheme that rewards and recognises the responsible bars, pubs and clubs in Newcastle who are genuinely striving to reduce alcohol-related disorder and promote responsible drinking.
Seventy-two venues across Newcastle have met the Best Bar None seal of approval. These venues all display the Best Bar None logo outside their premises.
When you are out and about in Newcastle, always look out for the Best Bar None logo!

Launched by Safe Newcastle, the scheme works in partnership with the licensed trade, the local authority and the police to create a safer city for all.
Best Bar None is a Home Office backed national scheme. It is currently being rolled out across 90 local authorities. Newcastle was the first to launch the scheme in the North East five years ago and is one of the top performing schemes nationally. It has even been praised by the Government in their recent evaluation of the Licensing Act.
Each year we hold an awards ceremony to celebrate the best venues in Newcastle.
