What is domestic violence
Page content
Does your partner or former partner:
- hit you?
- threaten or hurt you, your children, your family, your friends or themselves?
- call you names?
- have moods that ruin your homelife?
- take your money?
- force you to have sex?
- frighten your children?
Do you:
- spend all your time walking on eggshells and trying to make things better?
- feel lonely, anxious, depressed, confused or scared?
- feel embarrassed or ashamed?
- change your behaviour so your partner doesn't get angry?
Allowing yourself to admit that you're being abused is the first step to seeking help.
Abuse is not your fault and you have a right to be safe, protected and supported. Click here for more information on how we can help.
