How are these cameras different

These cameras are temporary and are used in areas where they are most needed.

We can move them quickly as soon as increases in crime or anti-social behaviour are recorded such as vehicles being damaged, increase in anti-social behaviour in local parks or criminal damage such as grafitti. T

They are smaller than most CCTV cameras and can be attached to lamposts so additional poles aren't needed. This means we can put them in streets, areas and parks where traditional CCTV is not available.

We can control the cameras from state-of-the-art monitoring equipment, laptops and central CCTV control rooms. These cameras can rotate to any angle needed within seconds.

The footage from the cameras are monitored by the police and Newcastle City Council staff.
