Who deals with anti-social behaviour?

In Newcastle, lots of different agencies and community members work together to tackle anti-social behaviour. This includes Northumbria Police, Newcastle City Council, Your Homes Newcastle and Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service.

Safe Newcastle pulls together all the knowledge from its partners, so it can identify with:

• people who have frequently been involved in anti-social behaviour
• landlords who frequently house people involved in anti-social behaviour
• places where anti-social behaviour happens and where perpetrators live
• trends, such as fires, or noise problems at certain times

This means that Safe Newcastle can see where the problems are, and direct all the services needed to prevent the anti-social behaviour, or enforce the law to stop them.
