What we're doing - community clear ups
Page content
Neighbourhoods blighted by grafitti, litter and fly-tipping make people feel unsafe and attracts anti-social behaviour. Having a community clean up is an ideal way to increase people's feelings of safety and reduce anti-social behaviour.

There has been many schemes in Newcastle, including Arthur's Hill where we ran Operation Rejuvenate, which has had an immediate impact on the area. Some schemes have involved local school children as Junior Wardens. The children help clear litter and place stickers on wheelie bins to raise awareness of arson, burglary and fly-tipping.
